The real secret about the perfect blood pressure is that there is no such thing. What you have is a normal range below 120/80, a pre-hypertension level from 121/81to 139/89 and a dangerously high level over 149/90. I would say if you are in the normal range you have perfect blood pressure. If you are outside of it you need to change some things in your life and get some treatment.

Pre-hypertension can lead to up to the three stages of Hypertension and should be treated before it even gets to stage 2 which is the first stage at which doctors start really getting concerned.

Pre-hypertension is usually treated with a low sodium and high fiber diet. You will be asked to severely reduce or eliminate salt from your diet and also told to add a lot more fruit and vegetables.

Hypertension requires the treatment for pre-hypertension and medication prescribed and constant monitoring. It also requires your doctor to do more testing to see if they can find a cause and additional treatment as needed.

None of us can completely life in a world with out tension. There are pressures at work and at home. There are the pressures of the economy. Parents get tense over their kids. The list goes on and one. It is how we manage the tension in our lives that will tell if we move away from the perfect blood pressure into areas of problems.

With automobiles and TV more people are walking and running a lot less and as a result this will often lead to some level of high blood pressure. The more we get up and get some real exercise and when we start eating more nutritious meals the more likely we are to avoid all the levels of hypertension. We can't ever expect to have "perfect blood pressure" but we sure can expect to have normal blood pressure which is perfect.
